Once again our love for Mexico has led us to another of her riches … coffee! Mexico has grown to be one of the strongest suppliers of coffee to the United States. The southern states of Guerrero, Chiapas and Veracruz are the largest producers. But, not so oftenly recognized are the smaller growers in the state of Jalisco. High up in the Sierra Madres, at an altitude of 4,500 feet, is the little town of San Sebastion del Oeste. Originally a mining town of silver and gold, the people here now live a simpler life without the riches extracted by their ancestors.
As it is for many things here, coffee growing is still done the old way. The orchards are tended using tried and true methods passed on through generations. The bright red berries are harvested by hand. They are cleaned and prepped with care and finally, the extracted beans are roasted to a toasty perfection.
We have proudly selected the coffee from the Quinta Mary to be the main bean in our special ADios Cafe blend.
Even though this is probably one of the least known resources for coffee production in Mexico, the flavor of the coffee is rich and well balanced. We have proudly selected the coffee from the Quinta Mary to be the main bean in our special ADios Cafe blend. Now run by the fifth generation of coffee growers in this 300 year old hacienda, Don Rafael roasts our beans to our liking with expertise.
Come enjoy a heart warming “Cafe de Olla”, a rich espresso, delicious latte, or the now locally famous “Mayan Mocha” – rich chocolate and just a touch of chili de arbol to tantalize your pallet! We bring our specially roasted blend of coffee directly to you with the hopes that you too will love the rich delicious history that is our ADios Cafe!
